I wouldn't say that the Croatian participant benefited from the exclusion of the Netherlands. I think that Nemo, who came only 5th in the televoting, benefited from it. And I believe that Nemo also benefited from the well-known massive motivational campaign towards the diaspora by the country that finished first in the second semi final and 5th in the Grand Final. Without this motivational campaign, the Croatian participant would certainly have received the 45 points needed to win the ESC in the televoting. Nemo did not do particularly well in any of the televotings!

You are right about Olly Alexander 🇬🇧 His voice is not great 👎🏻 Yes on recordings he sounds good but that’s due to all the effects they can use 🎤 His staging for me, was too much 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you look at Spain, they also scored low in the televote. It used to be a family show. Sexualising things, isn’t always a good thing. Croatia was my overall winner and I’m sad that the jurors chose the winner again 😞 I do love The Code though 🇨🇭 Would it have won if they weren’t wearing a dress and were non binary 🤔 I mean it doesn’t bother me either way but I was just thinking about it ✌🏻❤️ 🎶 You have been the best during ESC 2024 👏🏻🤩👏🏻

I just wanted to add that aside the situations with Russia participating despite what they did in 2009 and 2014 that you mentioned, Azerbaijan is also in an on-going conflict with Armenia. And not only Azerbaijan is participating as these so called peacemakers and "very well informed people" seem not to care about it at all. So given Eurovision's history of letting countries in compromising situations participate, it would have been actually unfair not to let Israel participate. Btw, I just noticed I hadn't subscribed yet. Shame on me for failing one of the least unbiased eurovision channels.

Thank you Henrik for speaking up. I was shocked to see the amount of hate towards Eden. She did nothing wrong. It's hard for me to understand how bullying the singer is going to help solve the Israeli Palestinian conflict?? We are all humans after all, everybody deserves to be treated with respect regardless of their race, religion or nationality. This year's eurovision was indeed a toxic environment but not because of Israeli participation, but the eurovision community itself.

In the future, the organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest must think about continuing this way of scoring contestants. There is an obvious difference between what is best for the jury and what the audience thinks. And most film festivals have several awards, which are divided into the jury award, the audience award, the best screenplay and the overall winner in the form of a grand prix. I don't see an obstacle to awarding prizes for the Eurovision Song Contest in the same way. It's obvious that all of that is evaluated here as well, so why not separate those awards as well. People would feel like they were not cheated. I feel like when the Grinch stole Christmas. Well, those statues cost a few hundred euros, so almost nothing. And the earnings from televoting are astronomical. And why do I now feel as if someone reached into my pocket and stole money? Do you feel that way too?

What I saw somewhere online, is that on the first day of full scale invasion, EBU said, they won't cancel Russia. But next day on the 25th after Ukrainian Broadcaster but also Finland, Netherlands, Norway and Estonia's (I think) and other broadcasters said - they'll pull out, if Russia is there. They demanded Russia to be not allowed to compete. Then the sanctions against Rus* broadcasters happened and EBU was ok with banning Russia, bc the job was done for them. Since 2014 Russia was bullying acts. For example they were stalking Jamala, attacking her online and on site (verbally) in 2016. Since 2014 Russia was always booed by the audience, but they still had the platform to spread their propaganda via the blatantly obvious propagandist lyrics. When Ukraine hosted in 2017, OTorwald, the participating band was not allowed to mention anything about the theme of war or peace at a conference. The acts or any participants were not allowed to speak about Russian occupation in the country where Eurovision was hosted. It was so Orwellian.

About bambis performance, anf olly, and... as a family we were shocked. My granddaughter worried about nightmares. When the visual keeps prevents us from hearing the song its supposed to be a song contest.

The song Hurricane by Eden Golan is the only song from ESC 2024 to enter the Global iTunes Chart after the competition 🙂

Why are you putting “censored” in air quotes? You have a better word to describe muting the audience sound and adding artificial sound to create a false impression?

I support Carola being transparent with Israel’s entry this year, after all she’s a singer and not her government. I found it very distasteful when people were boo-Ing her when she got on stage, it was just plain disrespect to her as an artist. Imagine having all that pressure and singing about something that clearly hurt her and her population of Israel during the attack in October 2023. Just like anyone else, she has the right to be upset about that situation and making a song about it because there’s two sides to the story. The population of Israel who were victims of an unprovoked attack in October and the Palestinian population who has been under control by the Israeli government for years. Eden doesn’t have anything to do with that.

Eden Golan deserves to be commended for even going during an anxiety inducing time. HOWEVER, Israel shouldn't have put her through that and should have been banned!

That's what I am saying. Like the thing with Erik Saada that he complained that the Kaffiya is an ethnic symbol. Also the star of David which Eden was Forbidden to wear!!! He is not better than her!

Politics & boycotting shouldn't be in the discussion at all, Henrik gave a even amount of time as possible to all the acts, not only the favourites in the odds. Time to look forward hopefully lessons will be learned.
